Danny Lanzetta is a writer, teacher, and spoken-word artist. He received his M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the New School and his B.A. in English from SUNY-Albany. Danny has served as an adjunct professor of English at Dutchess Community College and ASA College. Before moving to New York City, he was the director of the Youth Resource Development Corporation Peace Camp in Poughkeepsie and was the Assistant Director for At-Risk Youth at the Poughkeepsie Program for Youth in the Performing Arts. Danny also taught literature to dyslexic students at the Kildonan School and is trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach to reading, which uses visual, aural, and kinesthetic techniques to meet the needs of diverse learners. He has self-published two novels, and has performed his work in venues throughout New York City.
