On Wednesday, February 17, sixteen members of Highbridge Voices traveled to the Richard Rodgers Theater to seeĀ Hamilton on stage. Thanks to generous sponsorship by the Riversville Foundation, students in grades 8-12 will see this hit Broadway show the week after it won the GRAMMY award for best musical theater album.
To prepare for the show, students participated in an informational SKYPE session with Thomas Clementi, father of Highbridge Voices’ Executive Director, Mary Clementi. The retired US History teacher gave the students a rich background on the influence of Alexander Hamilton, and sparked their interest in his life’s story. The students left the SKYPE session excited and enthusiastic to see the show. 10th grade student Darrien said, “I cannot wait to go! Everyone is so jealous that I’m getting a chance to see this historic show!”
